The Grammy Award-Winning Houston Chamber Choir is coming to Christ Church Sugar Land.
The renowned Houston Chamber Choir won the Best Choral Performance award at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards and was honored with Chorus America’s 2018 Margaret Hills Award for Choral Excellence. The Houston Chamber Choir stands as one of the premier professional choirs in the United States. Led by the exceptional Artistic Director, Robert Simpson, the Houston Chamber Choir has received praise from experts and enthusiasts alike. The Choir’s talented professional singers, who have trained at esteemed institutions such as Juilliard, New England Conservatory, University of Houston, and University of Texas, deliver breathtaking performances that captivate audiences of all ages. These musicians are selected through rigorous auditions from the finest singers in our region and are compensated for all rehearsals and performances.
We are thrilled to share that the Christ Church choir will be singing with them. The esteemed director, Robert Simpson, has extended an invitation for our choir to join in singing two magnificent pieces, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus, which will serve as the grand finale. He has also entrusted our David Lee with the role of directing these performances. We are truly honored by this opportunity and are excited to share this wonderful news with our congregation.
Join us as we celebrate the Houston Chamber Choir’s remarkable achievements and revel in the unparalleled artistry of their voices. This promises to be an unforgettable experience, filled with moments that enlighten, entertain, and touch our hearts.
Admission is free for the community, so seats are limited.
“The Houston Chamber Choir is one of our city’s most outstanding professional ensembles.”
