The vision of the Christ Kids ministry at Christ Church is committed to providing each child with a life-long love of Jesus Christ. Our programs encourage children’s spiritual, emotional, physical, and social development following the examples of Jesus Christ as taught in the Bible. Christ Church provides a loving and nurturing environment for learning about and experiencing God in our daily lives.
All children are invited to participate in Worship services with their families. Worship Bags are available outside each worship space. Kids want to serve? Talk to Sarah about ways for your child to get involved in worship leadership and service.
Sunday is our Funday
CHRIST KIDS ADVENTURE
Preschool – 5th Grade
Our interactive Sunday School environment is a great place for children to learn and grow in their faith. “Adventure” will be a typical Sunday school setting- delving deeper in the adventure of God and His word with elements of games and art projects.
We use the Orange curriculum for all our kids, and we encourage you to check it out! Visit the website at thinkorange.com and look around. Orange provides a fresh lesson unit every month and we encourage volunteers to use their creativity in adapting the curriculum to be most relatable for the kids.
CHRIST KIDS CREATE
11 AM-12 PM
Preschool – 5TH Grade
Christ Kids Create is designed to be a fun and interactive Sunday School-like experience for our kids with more creative outlets and mediums. “Create” features worship elements, more art time, and other physical activities than your typical Sunday School class. Children preschool through 5th grade are welcome with our older kids taking a leadership role.
*There will be a formal dismissal following the Children’s Message in the Contemporary service and prior to the Community Moments in the Traditional Service.*
Nursery is also available for our youngest ones.
Christ Church is serious about your child’s safety
All children who enter a classroom must check in at one of our computer Check-In kiosks. If your child has not attended a class at Christ Church before, the volunteer will take a few seconds to input the child’s information and assign him or her to an age-appropriate class. Enter the last four digits of your primary phone number or your last name to bring up your family information on the touch screen. After confirming the classroom assignments and the time of attendance, print a name tag for each child. Parents receive a security claim check for kids 2nd grade and younger. Children wear the name tag on their clothes for security purposes.
At the end of the class time, parents need to go directly to their child’s classroom; if you were given a security claim check you must present that to pick up your child.
Upward Basketball is designed to build athletic skills, character, confidence, and spirit. It provides a great experience that grows with young athletes over time by using an age appropriate format. Christ church is in it’s fifth season of Upward Basketball.
