Youth Ministry

Youth Thrive Here

Christ Church Youth Ministries serve both middle school and high school students. Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming space for our youth to grow together in Christ within a supportive community. We encourage our youth to discover and nurture their gifts and to assume leadership roles. We offer both local and distant mission opportunities during the summer, as well as numerous volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

Sunday is our Funday

SERVE

9:30-10:30 AM

in The Lounge

Join fellow 6th-12th graders in various service projects, like decorating bags for the food pantry, crafting cards and bookmarks for shut-ins, or baking cookies for our hospitality and grief support teams. You can also connect with Pastor Annie to volunteer in Children’s Ministry, AV, Worship, or Hospitality roles. Prayer and project orientation begins at 9:35 am.

DEEP

5-7 PM

in the FAMILY LIFE CENTER

Deepen your relationship with God and others through Sunday night youth gatherings. We share dinner ($2 donations appreciated), study the Bible, join age/gender-based Small Groups (e.g., middle school girls/high school boys), and play games. Prioritize this dedicated time to grow as a disciple of Jesus and connect with your faith.

Coming Up For Youth:

High School Life Groups

Wednesdays • 6 - 8 pm • The Lounge

High School Life groups meet each Wednesday from 6-8 pm in the Lounge. This is a time where students can come together to have conversations about faith while discovering new friendships in a fun and relaxed environment. Each week, we start as a large group to catch up on how God is working in our lives, we then break up into small groups to dive into our study! This semester, we’re starting off with a 7 week study over the Armor of God. Please register on Realm by August 15th or contact Eric Solorio for more information!

Stay Connected

Annie Meek

Pastor of Youth & Young Adult Ministry
Rev. Annie McGregor Meek was appointed to CCSL in the Summer of 2023. She serves as the Pastor of Youth and Young Adult Discipleship so if you’re between 12 and 29, she’s your pastor! She was a hospital chaplain at Ben Taub during the pandemic and brings that dynamic energy, intercultural skill, and pastoral care emphasis to her ministry. She is married to her college sweetheart, Ryan, and lives in Houston with their toddler, Leah. She is a Sister in the Order of Saint Luke, a Hendrix College and SMU graduate, and loves the outdoors, board games, writing, and having spiritual conversations… preferably over food.

You’ll probably get tired of hearing these things from her but they’re the most important things:
“God likes you!”
“You are a Beloved child of God! And so is everyone else! Live like it!”
