Mission to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) Sager Brown - April 7-12 to Baldwin, LA

There is room for 2 more people to join the Seekers Sunday Small group on their mission to the UMCOR Sager Brown Disaster Relief Depot!  Cost $330 per person. Contact Dennis at dennisdull@earthlink.net if you can join.

If you can’t make it, you can still help!  The Depot is running very low on Feminine Hygiene Kits.  Please consider building some kits or donating the supplies necessary to construct them.   Click HERE for details.

When disaster hits anywhere, Christ Church faithfully responds in a variety of ways…

  • By assembling health kits, hygiene, kits, school kits, and Cleaning bucket supplies which are then forwarded to the United Methodist Committee on Relief for national disaster relief. Kits are also used for local emergency response programs.
  • Get trained to be part of an Early Responder Team (ERT) and be a Christian presence to those who need help with such things as tarping a roof, debris removal and mucking out houses.
  • Provide meals, prayer, hospitality and communication to our neighbors who may be without electricity
  • Help with water and ice distribution should a FEMA Point of Distribution (POD) be assigned to our area
  • Clear trees to homes in need as identified by the City of Sugar Land Office of Emergency Management
