Our budget is created through the work of our staff, leaders, and Finance Committee; it is voted on by the leaders of our church. Finances are monitored regularly by our Senior Pastor, and monthly by our Finance Committee. We take seriously the charge of using wisely the gifts faithfully given by our members and regular attendees in support of the ministry of our church.

We seek to be transparent with regard to church finances. To better facilitate communication with the congregation, we post a monthly dashboard. The dashboard shows our income and expenses (budgeted and actual). Any member who desires to know more about our church’s financial situation can do so by contacting Cheryl Johnson via email or by phone at 281.980.6888.

Endowment Fund

The Permanent Endowment Fund of Christ United Methodist Church is established for the purpose of providing members and friends the opportunity to make charitable gifts to Christ United Methodist Church Sugar Land that will become a permanent endowment of financial support and a living memorial. The Endowment Fund will not be used for those parts of the Church’s established programs which are normally included in the operating budget and which are funded through the regular giving of its members. The earnings of the Endowment Fund will be used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Special mission projects locally and beyond the local Church
  • Unusual expense for the maintenance, repair, alteration, improvement and replacement of the real and personal property owned by the Church.

The priority of the distribution will be at the discretion of the Endowment Fund Committee on an annual basis.
