An ordained Presbyterian minister, Pastor Heidi has made 14 trips since 2004 to war-torn Sudan to assist victims of jihad, war, and persecution, becoming a modern-day abolitionist and passionate defender of those who cannot defend themselves, personally assisting in the liberation of over 4,225 men, women, and children from slavery, delivering tons of medicine and grain, thousands of survival kits, freedom, spiritual support, and hope. She is a passionate speaker who engages her audiences whether large or small and has received the Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award as well as nominated for the CNN Hero Award.
